Florida's Homes for Sale

According to Florida Association of Realtors, a total of 11,200 existing single-family homes changed hands in April. It shows that there’s a 20 percent increase over the previous month when 9,330 homes were sold. They also reported that about 21.6 percent rose from existing condo sales statewide, with 3,900 units sold in April compared with 3,207 condos in March. Certainly, condo sales in Palm Beach have been incorporated in the statistical averaging.

In april, the median price of an existing condo was $179,200, up 1.6 percent from March’s figure of $176,300. Real estate agents agreed that it is encouraging that they are working through inventory. Florida Mortgage rates are still low and congress is working on legislation that will give improvement to the recovery of the housing sector.
